Make Pool Decks Safer With Sure-Step Surface Treatment
Sure-Step is a long lasting chemical treatment that leaves an invisible non-slip tread design into the surface of hard mineral walkway surfaces to increase friction when the surface is wet thereby helping reduce slips and falls.
Sure-Step was developed for use on concrete, glazed brick, terrazzo, ceramic tile, porcelain, quarry tile, marble and many other hard mineral surfaces. It can be applied indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather. SureStep is ideal for pool decks, porcelain bathtubs and commercial kitchen quarry tile floors. It is not a film or coating and will not chip, peel or discolour or change the appearance of the floor or walkway. Nor does it leave any chemicals, grit or residue on the surface. Once a surface is treated, 100% of the solution is neutralized and then removed.
SureStep can be applied to both existing and new surfaces. It is effective and is not expensive. The expected service life is one to five years.

Leo invites all Koho customers to attend the 2009 Pool Opening Tips Seminars on Saturday May 2nd and Saturday May 9th at 11:00 AM. Leo will take you through the pool opening process providing insider tips to make your job easier. Leo will also answer any questions regarding the pool opening process and discuss “What’s New” for 2009 in the world of backyard technology and equipment.

Koho Wins Six Design & Construction Awards for 2008
Leo Koopmans, owner of Koho Pools and Spas, was recognized by the pool and hot tub industry in December 2008 and again on February 6, 2009 winning four prestigious Design & Construction Awards in the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s 2008 annual competition and two awards in the Art of Water Design Competition.
The Pool & Hot Tub Council received over 200 entries from pool and spa companies across Canada. Judging was conducted by a panel of pool industry peers who determine the “Best of the Best”. Koho Pools and Spas is proud to be part of this select group of pool companies. The Art of Water Design Competition is also national in scope and received 228 entries with judging conducted by a panel of pool industry experts.
These annual competitions are important, giving pool and spa builders the opportunity to showcase their finest work.

Coleman Introduces Power Pool Swim Spas
Coleman’s new line of Power Pool swim spas was designed to meet the growing demand for a product that provides the benefits of both a pool and a hot tub and as well as fit into backyards that may not accommodate a full size pool and traditional hot tub.
With a Coleman Power Pool you can enjoy a swim-in-place workout that is adjustable to the pace you desire and your level of conditioning or you can simply use it as a hot tub with two multi-jet seating positions. It is the best of both worlds in one package.
The Power Pool is available in three models - the 15’ Sport, 18’ Pro and 18’ Super Sport. All models are 7.5’ wide and 54” deep for easy swimming with no bruised hands or knuckles. Markings on the bottom of the swim spa also make for easy swimming and holding position against the force of the swim jets. The Super Sport model has a separate tub seating area.
All three models have a fiberglass reinforced acrylic shell in a luxurious white finish with the choice of mocha or ash gray panels. A matching 3 piece, 4” insulated cover and Cleanzone II UV / Ozone water treatment system are standard on all models. 2nd Annual Chase McEachern Memorial
Heart & Stroke Hockey for Heart Tournament
The New Koho Pools & Spas is proud to support the 2nd Annual Chase McEachern Memorial Heart & Stroke Hockey for Heart Tournament. The tourney will take place from Friday February 20th to Sunday February 22nd, 2009 at the beautiful Nottawasaga Resort in Alliston. Teams will collect funds and play some fun hockey in memory of young Chase McEachern, with the goal to help get Automated External Defibrillators into every school and hockey arena in Simcoe County.
